I have been MIA baby! It's been busier than I like and it takes me longer to get stuff done!
But here we go!
First, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my beautiful wife TaTa!!! She's 29 again. So we spent the weekend at Camp Kernville, on a really flat campsite that wasn't even an "ADA" site. It just worked out great! The ribeye steaks and potatoes were A-may-zing! So was the weather, wow! We did a quick wheelchair check of the facilities, that video will come out later in Summer.
Next, March was a busy month for Van Life Voyages. We had a great trip to Laughlin, Nevada to celebrate our anniversary! it was a lot of fun. Although we stayed at a different casino, we took the same dinner cruise on the river that we were married on! Don't tell my wife, but I married up. ;-) We had a terrible time with the disabled parking though and that spurred a video about some of the problems of disabled parking. https://youtu.be/0EWldhUsk0I
I just don't understand how EVERYONE can have a disabled parking placard.
Tanya and I did our best to provide our "stimulus package" to the casinos. We did it via the slot machines and blackjack tables. Nonetheless, we certainly did our part! We took both of the dogs and they did very well. Although Gunner is definitely not fond of elevators. That aspect of service dog work is going to need more work.
After Laughlin we headed down to Lake Havasu to hang out with Cargo Dan and Box Van Dee. We had a fantastic time on the lake with Dan's pontoon boat. I even took the helm (that's the steering wheel for you land lubbers) for awhile! It was a peaceful drive home Monday, and that was nice because I was wiped out! I mean smoked like a cheap cigar, whew!
We were home for a few days and then Tanya took off again for a girls trip with her aunt and cousin! They camped upriver and had a great time (so I'm told) :-P I am very certain there were some shenanigans going on.
We want to thank everyone for the support on the You tube channel. We broke the 1000 subscriber mark near the end of March. Wah hoooo!! The 1000 sub party was on April 14th and was a lot of fun.
We also had a visit from Box Van Dee April 2. Dee "mooch docked" with us for a few days and then we all went down to the Kern River Campground for a few more days! That's where we did the April 7 live stream and Tanya and Dee both jumped into the river it was awesome!! I feel like there are so many details I'm leaving out. But I think I'll leave this right here and pick up with part 2 tomorrow.
